With 10% in , Karzai is leading with 219,539 votes.
Abdullah Abdullah is in second with 205,515.
A total of 524,444 valid ballots have been counted.
Under Afghanistan Law, if no candidates exceeds 50%, there will be a runoff election.
In a western nation, 10% would be enough to call the race and start preparing for the runoff. But this is Afghanistan.
The returns are not uniform enough to be a represntative sample, especially from the Pashtun areas where Karzai should run well.
Bashardost is in 3rd and Ashraf Ghani is in 4th.
