JD Johannes is a former Marine, television
news producer, US Senate staffer, political campaign manager and Assistant
to Kansas' Attorney General.
In addition to the Outside the Wire documentary
series, Johannes has produced commissioned documentaries, television
commercials and a series for domestic syndication.
His written reporting from Iraq has appeared
in National Review Online, TCS Daily and the Topeka Capital Journal.
Johannes plans to return to Iraq in 2008
to film more documentaries and travel to Afghanistan to film a documentary.
He says the safest place in Iraq is outside
the wire on your own two feet.
